“Poi ti spiego…” (I'll explain later) was his trick. We were boys, except Saverio, who was still a toddler. Caught in the act, he would wriggle out of it in a flash with a disarming “Poi ti spiego…”. Even today, when I have to get myself out of “one of those” situations, I say as innocently as I can: “Poi ti spiego…”. It always works!
