Together with Prof. Francesco Bertolini, we proposed an answer to the island — and first funded a study by Bocconi University (Milan), which was presented to the mayor of Rhodes. The first trial phase has been running since the end of 2025: drones are spreading 3.3 million seeds over 100 hectares — exclusively endemic species, in the greatest possible diversity. Funded by the municipality of Rhodes, by us and by other companies.

The idea behind it is bigger than the pilot project: if it can be shown that burnt areas can be reforested by drone economically, the European Union and the Greek state are to fund the rest of the lost area.
